Sure, not hitting every single free throw is fine. I get that — inevitably, it’s going to happen. But for the sake of your team (and your own dignity), you better hope that every free throw you attempt lands at least in the general vicinity of the net. Otherwise, people are going to be rightfully wondering what the hell it is you think you’re doing out there.
